I am so excited to say that the costs for the transport and the initial vet exam has been raised! What a wonderful group of supporters! I am so grateful to all for your support!
Buddy and Slim will be getting on the trailer Tuesday mid-day heading for their new home in TN! Stay tuned!!

As of now the horses will be picked up and arrive on December 28th!! The transporter was hoping to be able to get them next week, but is working around a holiday schedule :) I am so excited for them to arrive!
I have received $155 in checks as donations, a TSC gift card and joint and digestive supplements from Earth Song Ranch! YAY :)
We are busy re-fencing a paddock that they will be going in!

The vet was out today to do a health exam and pull blood for coggins test on Buddy and Slim. When the coggins test comes back, they will complete a health certificate so they will be able to travel across state lines. The vet fees are $180. The new transporter is all lined up! He is who brought Siegfried to me this year and they will have a private transport with roomy box stalls! I highly recommend him if you have any hauling needs! www.haulinghorses.com and his name is Steve Merka! Exact transport date is still to be determined, but I will post that as soon as it is finalized!

When the transporter arrived, the owner did not feel there was adequate room for both Buddy and Slim on the trailer, so she would not allow them to load. Buddy is 18.2 hands and Slim is 16.2 hands, both full draft horses.
So I will hire the wonderful transporter that brought Siegfried (18+ hands) to me, who will give them each a private box stall. It will cost a bit more, but I want them to be comfortable for the trip down. It will be right after Christmas when he can get them. I will update as soon as that is confirmed. Buddy and Slim will be picked up in Michigan around Noon on Friday 12/9 and make their way south to FHF in TN! I have my vet scheduled to come out on Tuesday for blood-work, dentistry and to x-ray Buddy's hock!

The Michigan carriage company has agreed to have Buddy and Slim come retire at FHF! War Horse Transport will be picking them up on Friday 12/9 for the 11 hour trip!

Buddy is a 12 year old Percheron of what fantasies are made of! Unfortunately he developed osteoarthritis in his hock and is not sound for driving any longer. He is free to good home by his carriage owner. It will cost $435 to transport him from Michigan to Ferrell Hollow Farm in Tennessee.

Slim is a 22 year old black Percheron who has been a carriage horse in Michigan for many years. He has slowed down and would like to retire. The carriage company is asking $1,200 for him. It will cost $435 to transport him to Ferrell Hollow Farm in Tennessee.
